Scott McTominay has been working hard in the gym this summer, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular.

With the start of Erik ten Hag‘s reign at Manchester United, everything will change ahead of the new season.

Following an underwhelming campaign in 2021/22, in which they recorded their lowest ever Premier League points total, changes and improvements will be required.

Many Manchester United players have been working hard in the off-season to impress the new manager.

McTominay also appeared ripped in Instagram photos captioned “Late night’s work” and “Boot camp.”

Callum Wheeler, a former academy teammate, was training alongside the 25-year-old.

McTominay joined Man United when he was five years old and rose through the ranks of the academy to earn a spot in the first squad.

Being 5 feet 6 inches when he was 18 years old and growing incredibly fast to 6 feet 4 inches by the end of 2015, there were concerns that he would never succeed as a professional.

“It’s really more of the reality that my body was not ready at all,” McTominay previously stated.

“I’ve always known I’d be tall, but maybe not that tall.

“I believe that when I was 13 or 14 if I had been at another club, they might not have been as understanding of me because I was younger and not actively participating in games.

“I couldn’t complain about United’s treatment of me when I was growing up. It’s evident that things have worked out extremely well.

When preseason resumes, the United players will face a challenging test, according to The Mirror.
During the first two days, Ten Hag intends to assess the players’ physical condition and put their endurance to the test with passing drills.

According to reports, the Dutchman would adopt a policy similar to that of Sir Alex Ferguson during his illustrious tenure at Old Trafford by ordering players and staff to eat meals together at the training facility.
