Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged his players to keep a positive attitude ahead of Sunday’s vital final match of the season against Aston Villa, in which a win will ensure City retains the Premier League title.

As the season approaches its conclusion, City sits atop the table with 90 points, only one point ahead of Liverpool, who face Wolves.

Manchester City missed a chance to retain the league title with a game in hand as they drew 2-2 away to West Ham United, bringing the title race to the final day.

Pep Guardiola has revealed to Jack Grealish that the excitement of winning the Premier League title is fleeting.

When Man City takes on his boyhood club Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, Grealish might win his first Premier League title. City leads Liverpool by one point at the top of the standings heading into the final round of fixtures, with Liverpool hosting Wolves at Anfield.
