Darwin Nunez And Thiago fully set to face Wolves as Liverpool release a strong 4-3-3 lineup

Liverpool will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, looking to rebound with a positive performance at home. The Reds were defeated 4-1 away at Napoli in midweek, setting off alarm bells at the Merseyside club.

Jurgen Klopp will use a 4-3-3 formation once more and is expected to make a few changes to his starting lineup for this game. Darwin Nunez and Joel Matip are expected to start this Premier League match against Bruno Lage’s men.

Alisson Becker will function in goal for the Reds after he shipped in four goals in his last outing. Joel Matip could come into the Liverpool side to partner Virgil Van Dijk in central defense. Both of them need to be at their best if they want to stop the Wolves from scoring this weekend.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will function at right-back while Andrew Robertson hopes to put in a tireless shift on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to defend their penalty box well and also try to create some inviting chances in the final third.

Joe Gomez could be demoted to the bench for this game following his horror performance versus Napoli in midweek.

                                                                Midfield

James Milner had a tough game at Naples earlier this week and could be dropped to the bench for this match. Hence, Klopp might name a midfield comprised of Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho, and Harvey Elliott for this game this Saturday.

Both Thiago and Elliott would be given the responsibility to create some decent plays for their teammates in and around the Wolves penalty box.

Both Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones are major doubts for this contest as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.

                                                                  Attack

Mohamed Salah has endured a poor run of form of late and will be eager to impress from the right flank. Luis Diaz scored Liverpool’s only goal against Napoli in midweek and will once again be Klopp’s main weapon from the left.

Darwin Nunez will get another chance to lead the line for the Merseyside giants on the attacking third of the field. The Uruguay international would be desperate to get his name on the scoresheet following a tough start to his career at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
