Manchester United preparing fast to land £41,500 a week player on Deadline Day

Manchester United have already reinforced their defense by signing Dutch Eredivisie players Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia.

According to Spanish media, the Red Devils are still looking to strengthen their defense, and Sergino Dest is a target.

According to Sport, the American international has had many offers, but he is willing to accept the offer from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old right-back is out of favor at the Nou Camp and has already informed the club that he is eager to play on loan for United.

The famous Catalan news source has mentioned that the Premier League side is not interested in paying the defender’s wages in full and therefore, Barcelona will have to contribute.

Dest is one of the lowest earners at the club. The 17-capped international’s current contract with the Blaugrana will expire in 2025 and he earns around 2.5 million euros per season i.e. around £41,500 a week (Football Transfers).

After conceding 6 goals in the opening two league games, Man Utd was solid at the back against Liverpool and kept their first clean sheet of the campaign versus Southampton last weekend.

Tonight, the 20-time English champions will face Leicester City, who are at the bottom of the Premier League table.

So, in all fairness, United’s main focus will be to earn all three points against the Foxes and it will not be surprising if they do not sign anyone else after completing deals for Antony and Dubravka. What do you think?
