Liverpool promotes 19-year-old player to the senior squad after seeing him train hard

Calvin Ramsay, a Liverpool teenager, was finally spotted in full training at the AXA Training Centre today.

Ramsay has yet to make an appearance for his new club since joining from Aberdeen in the summer. However, after reports that he could make his Liverpool debut soon surfaced, he now appears to be closer than ever to making his debut.

He was spotted warming up alongside Nat Phillips on Thursday as Liverpool prepared to face Brighton.

There was further good news during Thursday’s session as Ibrahima Konate also returned from a lengthy lay-off.

The Frenchman is yet to play a competitive minute for Liverpool this season. But he’s now finally back out on the grass, great stuff.

A few high-profile Liverpool players spent the international break on Merseyside having been overlooked for duty.

Among them was Thiago Alcantara. Now, unfortunately, looking likely to miss the World Cup with Spain, Thiago is nevertheless in superb form.

Liverpool needs him to stay fit if they’re to pull themselves out of their current slump. Thankfully, the 31-year-old looks absolutely fine. Seen here goofing around with his teammates – including Arthur Melo – at the AXA.

Trent is down but not out

One of Liverpool’s most scrutinized players this season has been Trent Alexander-Arnold.

That’s unlikely to change any time soon as the furor over his World Cup place continues apace. It’s been a bit of a rough time for Trent, so it was good to see him back at the place where he knows he’s appreciated.
