Liverpool welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion to Anfield earlier this afternoon, hoping to earn all three points. The Reds got off to a bad start, conceding the opening goal in the fourth minute to Leandro Trossard, who finished well. Trossard doubled Brighton’s lead in the 17th minute with another spectacular strike. Firmino equalized for the Merseyside club just 16 minutes later, as Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the halftime break trailing 2-1.
Firmino scored again with a composed finish in the 54th minute before the Reds got themselves ahead in the 63rd minute courtesy of an own goal from Adam Webster. However, Trossard equalized for Brighton in the 83rd minute with a great strike from close range. The match ended with Liverpool being held to a disappointing 3-3 draw in front of the Kop.
