Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United is still breaking records and making history at the age of 37. Ronaldo is the all-time leading goal scorer in men’s international football, as well as the all-time leading goal scorer in football, a distinction he accomplished with his hat-trick against Tottenham in the 2021-22 Premier League season. In a video posted on Manchester United’s social media, the Portuguese forward declared that he does not chase records, but rather records pursue him.
“The records are flowing naturally,” he explained.
“I don’t keep track of the records, but the records keep track of me. So it’s all right “he responded, a smirk on his face.
After a difficult season in his first year back, he also stated that he is still “extremely glad” to be back at Old Trafford.
“Of course, I was thrilled to be back in a club that had helped me advance in my career, so the feeling when I (returned) was incredible. It was good to be surrounded by supporters, and their joy was palpable “In regards to his comeback to United, he stated.
“I was, and continue to be, ecstatic to be here,” he remarked.
He’s also looking forward to working with new manager Erik Ten Hag, who joins the Red Devils from Ajax.
“I know he performed an outstanding job at Ajax and is a seasoned coach. But, you know, we have to give him some time. And things must change in the way he desires “he stated
He also made it obvious that his playing days are far from over.
“It’s still what drives me to keep going. Just putting in the effort. I’m still enamored by the game’s enthusiasm. And, of course, Manchester and my teammates were there with me every step of the way, so I owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who has assisted Cristiano “he stated
“But the most important thing for me is to win games and to win some kind of championship or cup. Manchester, in my opinion, is where they belong. It may take some time, but I am optimistic “he stated
Ronaldo scored 24 goals for Manchester United in the 2021-22 season.
