The Brazilian’s first goal for the club was a memorable one, as he stunned the Foxes by picking the ball up inside the box, and managed to get it up and over Danny Ward and find the top corner during our 4-2 victory. Jesus is also up for the league’s Player of the Month award, alongside Martin Odegaard.

Saliba’s maiden goal in our colors was also special, as he whipped the ball first-time into the net past the Cherries’ Mark Travers to wrap up a 3-0 win on the south coast.

The pair are up against a sweeping Brentford move that led to Bryan Mbeumo netting against Manchester United, Kalido Koulibaly’s volley in Chelsea’s game against Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool Luis Diaz’s solo effort against Crystal Palace.

There are also three Newcastle United nominees – Fabian Schar’s thunderbolt against Nottingham Forest, Kieran Trippier’s inch-perfect free-kick against Manchester City, and Alain Saint-Maximin’s blast away at Wolves.
