However, with games coming thick and fast, Jurgen Klopp must use his entire squad. We can expect some rotation as he tries to keep players fresh ahead of Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool line-up v West Ham
Defense
Alisson Becker is obviously a certainty in goal and we think Trent Alexander-Arnold will be back at right-back. He came on against City, suggesting he’s close to fitness again.
Andy Robertson will likely keep his left-back place as he’s only just backed himself. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are the only fit center-backs, so they’ll start.
Midfield
Jordan Henderson almost certainly comes in for this one. He didn’t start against City and this is the easiest way Liverpool can rotate against West Ham.
But who partners him? We think it will be Fabinho, with Thiago perhaps coming back in for one of them against Forest.
Attack
This is where Klopp can really shake Liverpool up. Roberto Firmino should drop to the bench after starting back-to-back games, as should Harvey Elliott.
That leaves a front four of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Fabio Carvalho. Carvalho played from the right when he entered the fray on Sunday – we think he’ll stay there.
And we wonder if Jota will keep his role on the left, allowing Liverpool to play both Salah and Nunez centrally here. It’s a strike-pairing we haven’t seen before but the potential feels massive. Two incredibly direct, physical players who can’t be defended one-on-one.
