Gakpo is currently with the Netherlands squad, which advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals with a 3-1 victory over the United States. Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in him.

Gakpo only recently extended his contract with PSV. However, Manchester United and Liverpool have both expressed interest in the Dutch forward. Manchester United came particularly close, submitting a £25 million bid in the summer, as Erik ten Hag was eager to work with the player at Old Trafford.
