After coming through the Red Devils academy, the 20-year-old had a breakout season at Old Trafford last season, becoming a first-team regular under Rangnick’s management.
Last season, the Swedish international appeared in 21 Premier League games for United, scoring two goals and providing two assists, and his performances earned him a catchy new song among Man United fans.
Rangnick primarily used Elanga on the right-wing, but the 20-year-old now claims that he is better on the left after being used in that position by Sweden in a recent match against Norway.
“It suits me very well,” the United youngster said of playing in the position to Fotbollskanalen.
“I play a lot on the right for United, but now I get to play on the left, which is my favorite position.”
“I’m capable of doing more there.” I can play both inside and outside the pitch.”
Elanga scored his first senior goal for Sweden against Norway on Sunday, but his desire to play on the left for Manchester United will be short-lived because the position is currently occupied by Jadon Sancho.
