Manchester City star set to sign a new contract which will make him the highest earner

In order to join the club’s highest earners, Manchester City striker Phil Foden is “prepared to TRIPLE his income” and “sign a new £200,000-a-week deal.” Rodri is also expected to receive a “huge pay boost.”

Talks are expected to go smoothly, with the England international already verbally agreeing on a deal that would see him triple his current wages at the Etihad.

Phil Foden and Rodri, a midfield combo for Manchester City, are both expected to receive significant wage increases as the team works to lock down the futures of its key players.

Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake are expected to depart the club, therefore Pep Guardiola’s team is hoping to extend their busy summer window by signing two of their star players to long-term contracts.

According to the Sun, Foden is set to sign a new deal worth £200k-a-week that would see the England international sit amongst the highest-earning players at the club – tripling his current £65k-a-week deal.

With both Foden and Rodri having two years remaining on their current deals, the club is confident negotiations will go smoothly.

The City chiefs are looking to reward the 22-year-old with a new contract as he prepares to take up a bigger role at the club next season following the departure of Raheem Sterling.
