Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu will not play against Leeds United.
Leeds United travels to the King Power Stadium tomorrow after six games without a win, but with plenty to be optimistic about after outplaying Premier League leaders Arsenal the previous time out.
However, with Leeds slipping closer to the relegation zone in recent weeks, points on the board are more important than the glamour of great performances right now.
Leicester finds themselves in the bottom three as things stand, in need of a win just as much as Leeds heading into this game.
Having already lost James Maddison to suspension, the Foxes side is expected to be weakened further with their defense missing key components.
After their weekend draw to Crystal Palace, manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the club is going to be without center-back duo Jonny Evans – per the Leicester Mercury.
Those two aren’t the only players out for the hosts tomorrow night, with Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring), Ricardo Pereira (Achilles), and Ryan Bertrand (knee) also cited as ruled out for Thursday evening.
Even though we’ve had plenty of injuries under Jesse Marsch, Rodgers is having no luck with players missing.
Having his best player suspended and five other first-team players out is a huge blow, and Leeds must simply exploit it.
It’s a game in which we can’t afford to lose points if we want to stay out of the relegation zone.
