Liverpool will have several selection concerns for tonight’s Premier League match against Manchester United.
Liverpool is set to play Manchester United in their next Premier League match later evening.
The Reds enter the game after a 1-1 tie with Crystal Palace. It was their second consecutive tie of the season, while Liverpool has yet to win a league game this season.
Man United was defeated in both of their first two league games, against Brighton and Brentford, respectively. It will be Liverpool’s first visit to Old Trafford since their stunning 5-0 victory last October.
Jurgen Klopp will face a variety of selection dilemmas in the match against Manchester United. Liverpool has a number of players who will be unable to play due to injury or suspension.
Thiago Alcantara, Ibrahima Konate, Calvin Ramsay, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Diogo Jota, and Curtis Jones are still out injured. None have returned to training and will not be able to face United.
Joel Matip was ruled out of the game against Palace due to injury. He was seen in training this week, but he is unlikely to be ready to rejoin the squad at this time.
Roberto Firmino, Joe Gomez, and Jordan Henderson should all be available, after recovering from their respective injuries. Gomez and Henderson were on the bench against Palace as precautions, while Firmino was ruled out.
In terms of suspensions, Darwin Nunez will serve the first match of his three-game ban tonight. The Uruguayan was shown a straight red card in the last game against Palace, after headbutting defender Joachim Andersen
Here is the entire Liverpool squad to be available for selection against United, barring any late fitness issues.
