The Foxes playmaker drew away from Thiago Silva and blasted a shot past Edouard Mendy.

Alonso equalized by volleying in a cross from Reece James.

After being set up by Romelu Lukaku, Christian Pulisic wasted a golden chance to put Chelsea ahead in the second half, slicing wide of the target from eight yards out.

Lukaku himself squandered a good chance by heading Hakim Ziyech’s cross beyond.
