Bruno Guimaraes has been named best Newcastle most loved player

Newcastle United want more South American signings and is hoping that Bruno Guimaraes’ influence would help them carry out that strategy.

South American talent is nothing new to the Magpies.

At Newcastle, Nobby Solano and Faustino Asprilla became cult figures, with Jonas Gutierrez and Fabrizio Coloccini not far behind.

Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes, and Miguel Almiron have joined those players, albeit Daniel Cordone, Clarence Acuna, and Christian Bassedas deserve no mention.

iNews now report that Newcastle is hoping to use the impact and influence of Bruno Guimaraes to make themselves a major player in the South American market.

Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Santos and Santos wonder kid Angelo Gabriel are just two players Newcastle want to add.

Yet Newcastle wants this to be a major part of their recruitment strategy for years to come.

The hope is that Brazilian talents will see how loved and adored Bruno Guimaraes is at Newcastle and then want to join him and make themselves into stars.

The money on offer at Newcastle will probably help them too and Magpies fans must be excited about this strategy.

It’s not all that long ago that Newcastle couldn’t or wouldn’t pay a loan fee to sign Hamza Choudhury from Leicester City under Mike Ashley.

Now Newcastle is hatching plans to sign Brazilian wonder kids like they’re every giddy Football Manager player.

Dan Ashworth is key here as well though.

Brighton and Hove Albion recruited well from South America during Ashworth’s time as their technical director.

Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo, Jeremy Sarmiento, and Julio Enciso have all arrived from South America, and Ashworth appears to have established a good network for the Seagulls to operate there.

Newcastle has signed Ashworth, and with a Brazilian poster boy starring in Bruno, the Magpies are hoping to benefit in the future years.
