And now their alternatives have become even more limited.

Jordan Henderson: Liverpool captain limps off injured against Everton in Merseyside derby | Football News | Sky Sports

According to The Times, Jordan Henderson, the Liverpool captain who cost £20 million in 2011 [The Guardian], could be out of action for up to a month after picking up a ‘serious’ injury in the midweek victory over Newcastle United.

It was written: “Henderson limped out of the dramatic 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Wednesday with a serious hamstring injury that may force him to miss five games and left Klopp seeking reinforcements.”

It’s a good thing that Arthur is 100 percent fit – according to Guillem Balague – because he might have to get thrown in at the deep end.

The Premier League is a different beast than anything the former Barcelona midfielder has seen before, and Klopp was presumably trying to ease him into things.

With four senior midfielders currently out for Liverpool, Klopp is likely to play Arthur as soon as feasible.

According to The Athletic, the Brazil midfielder will be unable to face Everton at Goodison Park today owing to international clearance.

However, the games for Klopp’s side – and everyone else – are coming thick and fast before the World Cup, so Reds fans will still see him very soon.
