He waited until the last minute for a deal to happen in the summer but was forced to stay in England, where he has stayed on the sidelines under Brendan Rodgers.
That saw him miss out on a place in Belgium’s squad for the World Cup and he wants out in the January transfer window.
Leicester has ‘already opened the door’ to a potential exit, but would prefer to sell him fully in the summer rather than in January.
The two teams have been working on a prospective agreement that would benefit all parties, with a loan deal that contains a purchase obligation at the end.
Contacts between the two clubs are ongoing, but there is a sense that, despite Torino’s best efforts, Leicester is not ‘in a hurry to reach a deal.’
