Manchester United’s midfielder is putting in a lot of effort ahead of pre-season

After being filmed completing a grueling exercise while on vacation, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is determined to ensure the Red Devils do not repeat last season’s disastrous campaign.

Bruno Fernandes appears to be trying to impress Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag in pre-season after being seen on social media doing a grueling summer workout.

Last season, Fernandes, 27, cut a frustrated figure at Old Trafford as the Red Devils finished with their lowest Premier League points total ever. United finished sixth in the Premier League last season, losing out on Champions League football, and the midfielder is clearly eager to avoid a repetition of that season in 2022/23.

Fernandes was spotted working out with a personal trainer, Fabio Cotovio, to get in shape for the start of the new season on August 7.
Cotovio shared a video of the Portugal international working on his chest and triceps with rope pull-backs around a nearby pole. While on a luxurious summer vacation, Fernandes grimaced as he dragged back the tight resistance bands.

United’s players have been ordered back in for pre-season on June 27, giving Ten Hag the opportunity to examine his team for the first time. Last season, Fernandes played 46 times for the Red Devils, missing only two Premier League matches due to suspension and sickness.

United kick off the new season against Brighton at Old Trafford, where Fernandes and his teammates will be looking for vengeance after a 4-0 thrashing in May. “As a result, the outcome is what it is. It is insufficient “Following the poor showing on the south coast, Fernandes informed reporters.

“We were outplayed by them. They were always able to come up with a solution. They put more pressure on us, and they deserved to win. There was a little bit of everything that went wrong. Quality. Mentality. They deserved to win, and we deserved to be in our current situation. It’s something we have to look at and feel embarrassed about because it wasn’t good enough for us, and we need to do a lot better.”
