Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala takes a break from football
The 19-year-old needs to clear his head a bit.
Jamal Musiala, a Bayern Munich star, gave Germany‘s ill-fated 2022 World Cup run his best but was eliminated at the group stage. He sought out his neuroathletic coach Steffen Teppel to discuss how the child could enhance his shooting and wants to hook up with assistant coach Dino Toppmöller in the new year to really put his improved shooting skills into practice (Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia).
Remember how I claimed Germany had been grouped and sent home? According to the same article, he will be focusing on other things other than football for the time being.
Following the World Cup exit, Musiala is taking some time away from football. Usually, he doesn’t miss any games, but the disappointment is too big that he’s not watching the knockout games. He wants to clear his head and travel with his family & friends.
Musiala’s missed critical chance against Spain must have fueled his newfound desire to improve his finishing. I can only hope he continues to progress since he is a great difference-maker for both club and country. I’m hoping for a MOTM performance against French superpower Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in February; that’s not much to ask, is it?
