In light of this, supporters’ organization 1958 has announced preparations to protest before Monday night’s game against Liverpool, the most important game in the Premier League between the country’s most successful clubs. When more than 100 protestors stormed Old Trafford, leading the fixture to be called off, United’s Premier League game against Liverpool was postponed to May 2021.

Although organizers of the latest planned protests have called for them to be lawful, tensions will be running high at Old Trafford, with an increased police and security presence for the most high-profile game in English football.

Fans have been urged to meet at the Tollgate pub, near Old Trafford, from 5.30 pm, with protestors marching to Old Trafford at 7 pm, congregating at the Holy Trinity Statue of George Best, Denis Law, and Sir Bobby Charlton, on the stadium forecourt.
