Liverpool will face Southampton at Anfield on Saturday, looking to take all three points in their home game. The Reds won the EFL Cup third-round meeting against Derby County on penalties 3-2, but they will be aiming for a better outcome in the penultimate Premier League fixture before the Fifa World Cup break.
Jurgen Klopp will line up his team in a 4-3-3 shape and is anticipated to make a number of alterations to his starting lineup for this game. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, and Ibrahima Konate might all get early action in this weekend’s match.
Defense
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Reds hoping to give a strong performance and keep a clean sheet. The talented duo of Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott will operate just ahead of them as part of Jurgen Klopp’s attack. Salah and Elliott will have to provide support from the wide areas and cut inside to create chances in front of the goal.
Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez will lead the charge for the Merseyside giants on the attacking end of the field.
However, Diogo Jota is unlikely to recover in time for this match as well, so Klopp will remain short on attacking options.
