This week, Red Bull Salzburg‘s Benjamin Sesko scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 friendly triumph over Liverpool.
The striker’s deft and direct play drew attention, and highlight footage had Manchester United fans pleading with the club to recruit him.
The Mail reported this week that the Slovenian international, 19, has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
A staggering £55 million price tag has been set by the Austrian club, which is reluctant to lose the promising striker so soon.
Sesko’s agent meets with Salzburg
Sesko’s agent held a meeting with Red Bull Salzburg last night over the player’s future, report Slovenian outlet Sport Klub.
Salzburg sports director Christoph Freund attended the meeting, with Sesko’s representative Elvis Bašanović.
The Austrian club is reluctant to sell Sesko after cashing in on Karim Adeyemi to Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Like with the Antony situation at Ajax, United is potentially moving too late to sign the player, at least for a reasonable price.
