Ajax defender on his way to sign for Manchester United in a few hours today

Lisandro Martinez had already arrived at a private jet terminal to fly to England, according to De Telegraaf. At half past six local times, he was observed at the jet center of Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.

Lisandro Martinez had already been given permission to board the flight, despite the report that attorneys from Ajax and Manchester United are still “discussing the final aspects” of the move.

The defender will reportedly have a medical on Saturday morning and be prepared to sign a deal that would last until 2017.

The story claims the defender won’t be meeting his former manager at Ajax, Erik Ten Haag, until Sunday or Monday ‘at the earliest’. He’s expected to meet his teammates at the training camp in Australia, where the Red Devils have friendlies to play against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa next week.

The Argentine center-back Lisandro Martinez is set to be the Red Devils’ third signing of the summer, following the confirmed arrivals of Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen.
