Manchester United left-back to quit the club after the training ground burst-up

This summer, Manchester United has already lost seven senior players, and more are expected as Erik ten Hag continues to restructure the roster.

Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and Edinson Cavani were among the six players who departed the team on free transfers when the new manager took over.

Tyrell Malacia, the Feyenoord left-back, is expected to be announced as Ten Hag’s first signing at the club on Monday, with the 22-year-old undergoing the first part of his medical on Sunday.

Malacia’s imminent arrival means that there are four senior left-backs at the club, with the Dutchman and Luke Shaw thought to be first in line. Behind them, Alex Telles and Brandon Williams are hoping for an opportunity.

Now, it’s being claimed that the former’s days at the club are numbered. That’s according to The Mirror, which says that he is set to leave the club after being involved in a training ground bust-up earlier this year.

As per the report, Telles’ bust-up with youngster Hannibal Mejbri forced Ralf Rangnick, who was the interim boss at the time, to abandon training earlier than planned.

And now it looks like his Old Trafford career is coming to an end just two years after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed him. He could, however, be used as a makeweight in another deal.

According to the report, United is still interested in Villarreal defender Pau Torres, and Telles and Eric Bailly might be used as bribes to facilitate a transfer for the Spain international.

Telles had struggled for two years at United, but after his first season, because of Luke Shaw’s outstanding play, he was given the benefit of the doubt.

Under Solskjaer, the Brazilian saw little action, but this season, with Shaw dealing with injuries and poor form, the former Porto captain was given a chance to shine.

He had done little to suggest that Ten Hag will fight to keep him at the club and with Malacia coming in, it could be the perfect time to let him go. Furthermore, his departure could help fund additional incomings.
