Real Madrid making strong efforts to sign Liverpool’s top goal scorer

Liverpool is thinking about letting Mohamed Salah leave the team this summer in the same manner as Sadio Mane did.

Mane, a Senegalese international, was recently sold by Liverpool to Bayern Munich before his contract was set to end. Mane’s Liverpool contract was set to expire in the summer of 2023, and once the player made it clear he wanted to leave the team, Jurgen Klopp had no choice but to buy him out.

With Salah’s contract also set to expire in the summer of 2019, the Merseyside club is now thinking about letting him follow a similar path. The Sun reports that Liverpool will permit the Egyptian to leave the club if a fee of roughly £60 million is obtained.

According to the source, Real Madrid, a powerhouse in Spain, is keeping an eye on the situation and may try to sign him this summer.

Liverpool should not be significantly impacted by the departure of Mane because Luis Diaz was hired in January. Mane is much older than Diaz, therefore it was a wise decision to cash in and invest in a long-term player.

However, losing both Mane and Salah in a single transfer window puts Liverpool in a bad position, and after failing to win the Champions League and Premier League at the last minute, it can cause a lot of anxiety for Anfield supporters.
