Sadio Mane was officially sold by Liverpool to Bayern Munich, but the winger believes there are still two players who can step in to take his place at Anfield.
Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are two players who Sadio Mane has identified as helping to fill the vacuum left at Liverpool by his transfer to Bayern Munich. In a heartfelt 585-word statement, Liverpool paid respect to the 30-year-“six old’s wonderful seasons” with the team and announced Mane’s transfer to the German powerhouses.
The Reds authored: “Mane contributed 120 goals, 38 assists, innumerable smiles, and endless memories during his 269 club appearances. He will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest attackers in Liverpool’s glorious history since he is a devastatingly successful player with a contagious personality.”
Mane, who won the Premier League, Champions League, and both domestic cups at Anfield last season, signs a three-year contract with Bundesliga champion Bayern in a deal that might be worth up to £35 million. And he conducted a protracted interview to talk about leaving Liverpool.
Darwin Nunez, the Uruguayan striker purchased from Benfica in a move that may approach a club-record £85m fee, has already replaced the Senegalese wide player in Jurgen Klopp‘s squad this summer. Additionally, Liverpool acquired Luis Diaz from Porto in January for £37 million with an additional £12 million in add-ons. In 26 appearances, he registered six goals and five assists.
