New Arsenal signing Matt Turner say’s farewell to former club

Arsenal has made a new signing. After severely snubbing a Spurs supporter, Matt Turner has already earned his stripes with the club’s fans without even playing a game.

Turner said his goodbyes to the New England Revolution Friday night, ahead of his £5.75 million moves to Arsenal on July 1.

In MLS, the Revolution defeated Minnesota 2-1, with goals from Dylan Borrero and Gustavo Bou.

Turner, despite not being selected, was given a special send-off and enthusiastically autographed goods for home fans in the stands after the game.

He, on the other hand, flatly refused to sign a shirt from a Spurs fan. He had the pen ready to sign at first, but when he saw the badge, it was a big no.

Oh no,”  Turner remarked, “That’s disgusting.”

“That’s repulsive.”

He then went on to sign shirts and signs for additional fans. “I think he’ll fit in just fine on his side of North London,” New England captioned the raunchy video on social media.

Turner’s contract was signed in February 2022, and he will compete for the job of goalkeeper at Arsenal against Aaron Ramsdale, who is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Turner, who began playing football at the age of 14 in order to maintain his fitness for other sports, has earned 18 caps for the United States.

During the USMNT’s CONCACAF World Cup victory, he had five clean sheets in six games, including one in the final against Mexico.

Turner is ecstatic to be playing for his boyhood club and has promised to give Ramsdale his best.

“I can see how they came to that conclusion. Aaron had a fantastic season for Arsenal, performing admirably throughout the year “‘I told Sky Sports News,’ he said.

For the time being, I agree. I’m coming in to push him to be the greatest goalkeeper he can be while simultaneously pushing him to become the best goalkeeper he can be. That is, after all, my ultimate goal.”
