Manchester United ranked No.2 on the list of world’s most loved sports teams

The list of the world’s most popular sports teams has been released, and Manchester United has been pipped to the top spot by Real Madrid.

Manchester United may believe they are the world’s most popular football club, yet they are just second on the list of most popular sports teams.

United may have slipped from its apex in terms of quality, but they are still well-known around the world, with fans spread around the globe. While it’s not uncommon to see United shirts while on vacation or traveling to far-flung destinations, a recent study finds that Real Madrid is the most popular sports team in the globe.

The Red Devils had to settle for a close second-place finish, despite the fact that both clubs are well ahead of their opponents. Football teams have dominated the top ten most popular teams, with the exception of the Golden State Warriors of the NBA.

Betsperts conducted the research, which included a global inquiry to determine which teams were the most searched on Google in each country. And football teams have dominated their ranking, with European teams reaffirming their status.

Real Madrid leads the way with 53 countries searching for Los Blancos, more than any other sports team, and United is a close second with 50 countries. Then there’s a significant gap between them and Barcelona, which is in third place with 23 countries.
